Amy Rice

I have just discovered (via Meet Me At Mikes) Amy Rice. A fabulous painter from 'down under.'

This caught my eye:
Not just because of the adorable pooch, but because of THAT long, teal painting, and THOSE chairs!

Have a look at her work here

Ad-free New York

Do you know about Morgan Spurlock?
I only just discovered him.

He's a movie director with a film coming out.

But he is also involved in a little project called No Ad New York.
I haven't been to New York yet, but it is on my (very long) List.

Have a look!

Friday Dreamin'

There's a website called Meet Me At Mikes.
It is home to a lady called Pip.
Pip sends emails about crafts and food and other lovely things.

Sometimes she sends things that she has found like this:

I was having a bit of a downer yesterday, and this has really set my morning off to a good start! (Thanks Pip!)

Over there there are all sorts of wonderful things... an online shop, recipes, Softies for Mirabel, and even a section called 'Learn to make stuff'!

Hop on over to her website if you want to join in all of this loveliness.

Is your Advertising Art?

I'm reading a lot about avoiding getting carried away with the visuals of the ad and focusing on the actual message.
BUT some ads are so so clever and arty and lovely.

Then there's the AICP. They want to see your artful ads...

Go have a look, won't you?

Clementine Henrion makes the 'Eternal Helium'.
Sewed and stuffed, to stay forever.

That is only one mark on her very impressive resume of skills!
